What to Expect when you Visit

Bibles
One of our core values is the Word of God. You can expect Bibles and Bible apps to be open and studied during both classes and the sermon.

Communion
Communion cups are also distributed by the greeters for use during the Lord’s Supper, which we do every week just like the early church in the Bible. You are also welcome to join us as you are comfortable.

Prayer
There are various times of prayer when we meet. Usually in the opening of our Sunday morning worship, during the Lord’s Supper, and near the close of the worship time.

Greetings
Friendly greetings are common place at the front door and maybe on the steps outside. Our desire is to meet and greet every guest at our congregation.

Singing
We practice congregational singing where everyone can sing in worship together. We are led by a song leader.

Offering
There is a moment during our worship in which we are led in an offering thought. Guests are under no obligation or expectation to financially give.

A Bulletin Handout
A bulletin either distributed by the greeters or in the book rest in the front of the pew allows you to read more about the church and find an order of services listed.

Scripture Reading
During our Sunday morning worship, we usually read a portion of Bible text. Sometimes this is a complete chapter of the Bible or another text of similar length.

Preaching
Normally there is a sermon given to the entire congregation during the worship time.
Be Our Guest!
We are truly happy to have you fellowship with us. We’ll ask you to fill out a visitor’s card (but that’s totally your call!) and you can expect to be contacted, usually by mail, email, or even text message. We won’t make you stand up or anything else that might be embarrassing.
Key notes
- No embarrassing stand and hug your neighbor moment.
- Bible-based worship.
- Preacher primarily uses English Standard Version. Bring whatever version you love best.
Expect to be taught directly from God’s Word. We have several classes for kids of all ages and one auditorium class for adults. Bring whatever Bible version you love best.
Expect a simple worship experience with a cappella singing, scripture reading, prayers, communion, and a lesson that is understandable, applicable, and Bible-based. We do give an offering but no longer pass a basket. There are boxes at the front and rear of the auditorium, and offerings can be made at any time. You can also give via our church website. If you are a guest, please know that you are not obligated to give, though it is available if you choose to do so.
Expect to see people dressed in a wide range of attire, from their “Sunday best” to business casual to t-shirts and jeans.
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
